We are singing because we also got to bark a greeting across the field to Pepper and Star up at Carla’s house. We haven’t seen them for at least six weeks. Carla has had seven foot drifts across her entire driveway twice this winter, penning her in for ten days at a time. Her mailbox was taken out by the snowplow in December also. I should compose a song about Iowa in the winter! Snow, snow, snow, humm, humm. Where’s that Groundhog? Huck and I are going to hunt him on the second. Humm, humm, humm! Let’s eat Groundhog stew.
