Today we walked through the forest on a carpet of Dicentra cucullair or Dutchman’s Breeches. They are the first of the woodland wild flowers to bloom in our area and look like a tiny pair of pantaloons with lacey foliage. We can roll on the violets and dandelions, but we have to stay off the pointy things that are Momma Dog’s baby Hostas. It’s a little hard to tell which of the pointy things are flowers and which are plants in wrong places, aka weeds! (Especially with lovely furry feet like mine!) Affectionately, Nemo
