Great Dog, I’m glad to be wearing my short fur this summer. Today our heat index is 112 degrees in southwest Iowa. Huck and I caught the scent of a doe and fawn this afternoon up on the hill in the trees, but we didn’t find them. They were long gone at the first whiff of us. We will probably have storms tonight as there is rain to the west of us. We also heard the ridiculous rumor that there is a “cat” show in Omaha. What would they show? Hissing and scratching?
